Paula Panzarella is a versatile actor, director, producer and screenwriter. Born and raised in the Arthur Avenue area of the Bronx. "The Real Little Italy" of New York and the neighborhood that brought us such notable talent as actors Chazz Palminteri, Joe Pesci and rock star Dion DiMucci of Dion and the Belmonts. Paula was profoundly influenced by her family's musical roots and talent. Her father was a prodigy violinist from Italy and was hailed as the "Little Paganini" of his day. He inspired much of Paula's ambition to be a performer.
Paula has performed alongside award winning film directors including Carl Reiner in the film Fatal Instinct. She also earned the privilege of being choreographed by such names as Anne Reinking (the legendary Bob Fosse's protégé) and Patricia Wilcox. She toured with many shows throughout the United States notably Chicago, Pippin, and Jesus Christ Superstar. Exposing her life story on stage, Paula wrote and starred in the Off Off Broadway Show Live to Tell and subsequently wrote, directed and starred in the 2008 feature film The Class: From Actor to Icon. Currently, Paula is developing a one-woman show.
